These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and responsibilities to be observed by the Tourists (defined in Article 1) as well as the rights and obligations of Uno Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) and the Tourists with respect to the use of the “Kanpai Buddies” service provided by the Company. Every Tourist desiring to register for the service must read through the entire text of these Terms carefully before agreeing to them.

1. Definitions

• “Tourists” refers to travelers who apply for the Kanpai Buddies service via the designated form.
• “Buddies” refers to volunteer residents of Japan who wish to respond to requests from Tourists.
• "Company" refers to Uno Inc., which operates the Kanpai Buddies service.

2. Eligibility Requirements

• Tourists must be 20 years of age or older to participate.
• Tourists must comply with local laws regarding alcohol consumption.

3. Booking and Cancellations

• Tourists apply through the designated form.
• The Company shares the Tourists’ request with Buddies and recruits participating Buddies.
• If Buddies apply, the Company will bill the Tourists a separately determined Buddies Arrangement Fee.
• Tourists pay the fee to the Company.
• Upon confirmation of payment, the Company provides the Tourists with the Buddies’ contact information.
• Tourists and Buddies arrange the time and place of the meeting and carry it out.

4. Dining Costs

• The cost of food and drink at the izakaya will be split between the Tourists and Buddies after confirming the bill.
• Tourists and Buddies should prepare the expected costs in cash in advance.

5. Refunds

• If the dining experience is canceled by the Buddies, the Company will refund the Buddies Arrangement Fee paid by the Tourists via PayPal, except in cases defined in Article 6. Please note that the refund will be processed in the original currency of payment, and any foreign exchange gains or losses due to currency fluctuations at the time of the refund will be the responsibility of the Tourists.
• If the dining experience is canceled due to the circumstances of the Tourists, the Company will not refund the Buddies Arrangement Fee.

6. Cancellation and Interruption of Dining Experience

• If, during the preliminary interactions or the dining experience, Tourists commit illegal acts, endangering behaviors, nuisances, including sexual harassment towards Buddies or others, the Buddies may cancel or interrupt the dining at their discretion.

7. Consent to Use Images

• By participating in the Kanpai Buddies experiences, Tourists and Buddies consent to the capture and use of their images in photographs taken during these events.
• The Company reserves the right to use any photographs, videos, or other media captured during Kanpai Buddies events for promotional purposes, including but not limited to posting on Kanpai Buddies' blogs, social media platforms, and other marketing materials.
• Participants who prefer not to have their images captured or used for promotional purposes must notify the Company in writing prior to the event. The Company will make reasonable efforts to exclude these individuals from photographs or anonymize their images where necessary.

8. Disclaimer

• The Company is not liable for any direct or indirect physical, mental, or property damage suffered by Tourists as a result of using this service. Tourists cannot claim damages against the Company.
